Emily Kuhnke (Germany)
Dancer
Born in South of Germany, she spent first ten years of her life in the forests of norway, which left her with the gift of a strong connection to nature & its beings, whether they may be visible or not. She always liked to move in surrealistic ways. Educated theatre actor & director she is also dancer & writer. Learning Biomechanics by russian Meyerhold she got interested in many different kinds of moving. "As a writer I fell in love with Butoh because it is really a possibility of physical poetry. With your breathing & connection to nature around you & beings you can write with your movement. Very tender & subtle or absurd & fun.
Kuhnke also works as a performance artist, where she explores the absurdity or words & moves & redefines the definition of reality. Current works for an example "BOND" where she was tight 9 inches close to a stranger for 4 days.
"I really appreciate the deep possibilities of exploring everything."
